Angela Cusumano started dancing at the age of five in Brooklyn, NY and has studied numerous dance styles ranging from ballet to hip hop. With hip hop being her forte', she has studied under some of the biggest choreographers in the industry such as: Wade Robson, Tyce Diorio, Gil Duldulao, Savion Glover, Laurie Ann Gibson, Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, Cris Judd, Geo Hubela, Frank Hatchett, Dave Scott and Luam Keflezgy. She's toured Nationally and Internationally as a backup dancer for "Who Da Funk" for their #1 radio club hit, "Shiny Disco Balls" and has also performed in numerous stage shows at Six Flags Great Adventure during their summer and Fright Fest seasons. In the past, she has been a member of the "alternative jazz" based dance company, "Push Factor Dance Company" in Astoria, NY, as well as the hip hop based dance crew, "Iconic" in Englishtown, NJ. She served as the hip hop instructor for Push Factor's National Convention, "DanzJam" and guest teaches in locations all over New York and New Jersey. Other professional performing credits include corporate events as a Britney Spears impersonator, Tubway's "In Living Color Fly Girl Tribute," KTU's Beatstock, "Fashionably Yours" Fashion Show and numerous stae productions for up and coming artists. Angela has also worked on set as a performer and off set as a choreographer on numerous music videos. She has worked with Venom Dance Crew and was featured on Paula Abdul's hit TV show on CBS, "Live to Dance." Angela also serves as a faculty member of American Repertory Ballet's "DancePower" programs, founded by Gregory Hines. In this program, she teaches ballet and introduction to dance to 3rd grade students throughout the New Brunswick Public School Systems. Other choreography credits include: University of Delaware's "Dark Arts" Dance Program, Rider University's "Rider Dances" and music video work for R&B/Pop group, Love Jones Girlz (Urban Melodic Entertainment, Inc.). Angela is skilled, passionate and ambitious about her craft. Class styles range from street to sassy, with a fusion of jazz, funk, contemporary and hip hop. Aside from teaching dance, she is also a certified ZIN instructor for Zumba Fitness and teaches Zumba classes in dance studios and fitness centers throughout New Jersey.
